Selecting A Course
Selecting a Course
Why choose a Fraser Hart revision course?
As discussed in our Revision Tips page, ensuring your revision time is effective is crucial in ensuring you equal or better your predicted grades. Our revision courses will help you consolidate your understanding of key topics whilst further improving your exam technique.
Fraser Hart revision courses are aimed at supporting students to achieve their full potential in their forthcoming GCSE, AS or A2 exams.
Which course?
Fraser Hart offer several courses throughout the year. Below is a brief outline of each of our courses which will help you identify which course best meets your child’s needs.
Christmas/ New Year Revision: This is a course offered with the January mocks, modules and re-sits due for many students. After a busy Christmas period during December, this course is perfectly timed to offer you expert support just prior to your exams.
Easter Revision: This is Fraser Hart’s main revision programme as this is the most important time for revision. By the end of the spring term students will have finished studying most of the syllabuses at school or college, and so Easter is the last main holiday before the May and June exams. Students should definately sign-up for Easter revision.
May Day Weekend Revision: The course is offered at the start of May, for all exams being taken during May. Many GCSE and AS exams are being taken increasingly early, particularly before May Half Term, so this opportunity is particularly useful.
May Half Term Revision: May Half Term is the final chance to revise and prepare so you can achieve the best possible grades in your exams.
These courses are useful for that very last minute booster, it proves to be one of the most important times in every student’s revision calendar.
It is a perfect course to build on previous revision at Easter or May Day Weekend.
How many subjects?
If you are studying maths and science you should take all the courses if possible to give yourself the best opportunity to improve all your grades.
Factors you may consider in deciding which subjects to prioritise should include those subjects required for your preferred University course or preferred career.
Which subjects?
We cover maths and science subjects at GCSE, AS and A2 level. Please see the revision subjects page of our website for a full list of subjects available.
We will always endeavour to provide your preferred course choice, but it is important you select an alternative course in the event that your choice is already fully booked. We will contact you should your preferred choice not be available for any reason.
Study Centre
All of our courses offer 18 – 20 hours of study time over 3 days, with breaks during the day.
When attending a Study Centre, then students will need to bring a packed lunch and any snacks or drinks or purchase lunch from nearby shops. Some centres will have vending machines available.
